THE PROBLEM:
Lack of both public and professional awareness of vision
rehabilitation services The Symposium is the short-term
solution for increasing the level of awareness
regarding vision rehabilitation services through a one-time
event. The long-term solution is to create
a network of multidisciplinary providers who will commit
to maintaining a forum for discussion through regularly
scheduled meetings, interagency referrals and participating
in ongoing public outreach events will be established and
maintained. The Symposium will create the opportunity for
this network to become established.
Who Should Attend?
Professionals from an array of disciplines within the medical
and educational communities who provide services to seniors
with low vision or who are at risk for developing low vision.
